Light at the end of the tunnel

Sun Aug 3, 2008, 4:49 AM
Less than 4 weeks now until I head on over to Queensland for 10 days of fun and sun with my family. I've decided to quit my night job when we get back. I started the job back in January to save up for this holiday, and now I'm really missing having my free time on a night. And I hate being too dead tired by the end of the week to do anything other than sleep on my weekends. So, fingers crossed, in a few more weeks I'll have more free time to write, draw, view and maybe even shift my lazy butt to upload more stuffs here! :boogie:

Pizzas and Scrolls

Mon Jul 14, 2008, 11:12 PM
"Pizzas and Scrolls" is a new Fanfiction archive site created by the wonderful engelina.

Looking for a site where you can easily upload, serialize and edit your TMNT and Usagi Yojimbo fics and crossovers? Somewhere you can post all of your stories for these fandoms together, regardless of their rating, and still have the security of a warning being issued to readers for adult rated works? Then check out this site - [link]

Oh boy, has it been ages since I've updated anything here! Sorry to all who have been waiting! ^^; I haven't had much time lately to roam here either, so I've got almost 800 deviations racked up to look at. I know everyone hates favs without comments, but I'm afraid I'm probably gonna be doling a few out to get through that list in any kinda reasonable time. And I'm sure there's heaps of stuff in there that I wanna see, so I am gonna persevere and work my way through it all rather than just delete the list.

I've started working four nights a week this year, so that has impacted my online time a lot. Between that, and the AFFA (Adult Fan Fiction Awards) comp blooming into a web page and forum all of it's own, things have kept me a bit busy of late. The AFFA Forum is a place that engelina and I have created so everyone in the adult TMNT fandom can have input into the AFFA comp, and a place where all forms of TMNT works are considered equal, be they any type of adult work or not. If you want to check out the AFFA Forum, here's a link for ya - [link]
Most of the site content is restricted to those over 18 years old (sorry, but legally-wise our hands are pretty much tied here). However, this link directs to the public section of the forum that is open to all ages, where fics, pics and anything else that catches your fancy and is rated less than 'M' are very welcome.

Been keepin' busy!

Sorry to have been AWOL for so long, the 2007 Adult Fan Fiction Awards (AFFA) for the TMNT fandom kinda ate my soul for a while there. I'm one of the two current AFFA staff, and this year the competition was a much bigger affair than last year's.

The AFFA are pretty much all done and dusted now, so I'm finally able to get back to my own little obsessions. If you want to know more about the annual AFFA comp, we now have a dedicated web site; [link]

And just 'cos I gotta :boogie: a little, my one-shot 'Base Instinct' achieved a tied Second Place in the 'Best Non-Consensual' Category. Given the standard of the works mine was competing against, I'm pretty darn chuffed with that result! :D :D :D Thanks to everyone who nominated and voted for my work, and those that have supported it by reading, commenting and/or faving. It is much appreciated. :thanks:

Hisses and spits!

Well, just uploaded another two chapters of C&R when I spotted this seemingly dandy new option of allowing a 'mature content warning' in the submission page. Now I know my work isn't exactly hugely dirty or graphic compared to some, but I do like to give readers due warning of what they may be reading.

Anywho, just to be on the safe side I logged off and checked my account. And lo and behold the damn chapters were LOCKED! Warning yes, but no access? F that for a joke. So I've now taken the mature warning option off. Since it's not just a friggin' warning at all! -mutter grumble mutters about lack of proper service delivery-

Apologies to anyone who has tried to access these chapters in the interim and been denied.
